From California to Bordeaux with love…

I grew up in Southern California close to the ocean and active in aquatic sports and theater. My family hosted exchange students from around the world, which planted a seed for travel and discovering different walks of life.

My heart led me to San Francisco to study psychology & holistic health, and also meet my husband. Together we have traveled around the world and have since planted our roots in Bordeaux, his hometown, and my adopted home for 9 years where I teach yoga.

I was originally drawn to the practice at 16 after seeing a yoga magazine cover and an inexplicable peace and calm resonated from the image, despite the challenging pretzel shape. I knew I had discovered my life practice after my first class that fully engaged me, body and mind, something I didn’t know I was looking for until I had found it.

About Lauren

A bilingual, ethereal yoga teacher

Born and raised in California, I have lived in Bordeaux for 8 years with my husband. Growing up, I was passionate about the human mind, behavior and had a deep desire to help others, which brought me to study psychology and holistic health in order to have a more general vision of health and well-being. With Léo, my husband, we lived in California, San Francisco, then in Japan before settling in France where I am a full-time yoga teacher. We love discovering new cultures, walks of life, and sharing the practice of yoga.

My Process

I teach Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. These styles of yoga balance your energy, flexibility and strength. A vinyasa style that is fluid and steady to move at the pace of the breath (the life force) to flow through challenging poses with awareness and a smile.  My yin & yoga Nidra classes offer a pause to connect to the present moment, your intuition and free yourself from the noise of everyday life. You’re invited to let go of stored tensions deep in your tissues and offer yourself some TLC (tender love & care).

My Approach

Influenced by my studies and places I’ve visited, I offer a modern, accessible twist on yoga that imparts a sense of lightness and ‘feeling at home’.
My students are welcome to come as they are, feel comfortable in their skin and stay curious to all that shows up in their practice. 

Locations

I offer private and group classes in person, in Bordeaux or online, on a weekly basis or for your special events.

I’ve been taking Yoga classes (Vinyasa, Yin, Nidra) with Lauren for 4 years, sun, fun and smiles! Full of Californian waves in its creative, benevolent and relevant proposals. A real moment of sincere sharing!
